March 4th 2007. Jake's Corner, Gila County, AZ.

Rufous-backed Robin Turdus rufopalliatus.(2).

This apparent ‘pair’ of Rufous-backed Robins, first discovered in early February, represents the first documented record of this winter rarity for Gila County. The birds showed exceptionally well for brief periods at the edge of the trailer park just behind Jake’s Corner Store, much as described in previous posts to the Arizona bird lists. Also present, three American Robins, a Hermit Thrush, two Spotted Towhees and a few Oregon Juncos.
