Northern Waterthrush Seiurus noveboracensis.
Checked a few local spots between the rain showers with the following selected notes.

Hadley - Honey Pot area (heavy rain).
Mallard - 9
Cooper’s Hawk - 2 (juvs).
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Spotted Sandpiper -1
Belted Kingfisher - 1
Northern Waterthrush - 1 (migrant by the river).
Palm Warbler - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 5
Eastern Wood-Pewee - 1
Chipping Sparrow - 35

Northampton, East Meadows (rain showers).
Be careful here, the road beyond the Red Barn is turning very mushy in the wet conditions. I wouldn’t try it without 4-wheel drive.
Cooper’s Hawk - 2 (juvs).
Killdeer - 1
Least Sandpiper - 5
Red-winged Blackbird - c.1500 flying south, quite high in several large flocks in mid-morning.
Yellow Warbler - 1
Savannah Sparrow - 60+
Bobolink - 40+.

Hadley, South Maple Street.
Killdeer - 25
Pectoral Sandpiper -1
(Very nervous birds being watched over by Red-tailed Hawk and Cooper’s Hawk.)

Amherst, Norwottuck Rail Trail.
Brown Thrasher - 1
Eastern Meadowlark - 4
Wood Thrush - 9
Veery - 2
Great Crested Flycatcher - 2
Eastern Wood-Pewee - 2
