August 28th and 29th, 2005. CT River Valley, MA. Pectoral Sandpipers  Calidris melanotos. Taken using Canon Powershot A-95 through Swarovski HD telescope and Leica 10x42 binoculars .

This party of five Pectoral Sandpipers arrived with Lesser Yellowlegs at Agawam on the 28th but never settled, and continued south down the Connecticut River.

This shot and the next depict a single juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper at Hatfield.
