Tanji Reserve, The Gambia, West Africa. January 16th, 2003.
Kelp Gull Larus dominicanus. Adult.
Uncommon but regular on the coast in Senegambia. Several adults and immatures were present at this site. A real beast of a gull with a very heavy bill and long grayish-green legs. Much larger and more robust than accompanying graellsii Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
Nikon Coolpix 995 through Swarovski telescope.
