This bird was much paler than this first-winter at Rochester, NH on December 16th, 2004.

**Thanks to Mark Taylor for informing us about the bird and for offering tips on the best viewing spots. We watched these gulls for two hours in mid-afternoon from Unity Park in Turner's Falls.
