Rochester Waste Water Treatment Plant, NH, December 30th, 2004.
Great Black-backed Gull Larus marinus, adult.

This bird was one of several color banded gulls discovered at Rochester during the winter of 2004/05.
The North American Bird Banding Program have informed me that this bird was banded near Saint John, New Brunswick on May 20th, 2001. It was believed to have hatched in 1998 or earlier, and its sex is unknown.
Several American Herring Gulls Larus (argentatus) smithsonianus from New Brunswick were also
discovered at Rochester WWTP in November 2004.
