Rochester WWTP, NH, December 16th, 2004. Glaucous Gull Larus hyperboreus. An exceptional showing of this species at Rochester with an absolute minimum of six individuals discovered during the day. Three individuals are included with this selection.

Fig.2. The scene early in the day. This small but tight group of gulls contains two Glaucous, one at the front, which is the              same bird as shown in Fig.1, and a smaller more delicately built bird at the rear, possibly a female.
