January 23rd 2007. Nobska Point, Woods Hole, Cape Cod, MA. Barrow's Goldeneye. Bucephala islandica. Adult male. A nice find on our last morning on the Cape, especially since we'd found the sheltered bays in the Falmouth area to be holding relatively few diving ducks. Distant shots of offshore birds taken in harsh winter sunlight. Images taken using Canon Powershot A540 through Swarovski HD Telescope. |
