February 2nd 2007. Foss Beach, Rye, NH. Barrow's Goldeneye. Bucephala islandica. Female. A female Barrow's Goldeneye with about a dozen Common Goldeneyes just north of Foss Beach off Route 1A. The group were engaged in display, and the female Barrow's was actively displaying with them. The regular female Barrow's Goldeneye at Turner's Falls has also been actively displaying with Common Goldeneye since late December.
