It was wonderful
to watch them hunting, though this one missed its quarry. Another bird
we saw was succesful,
and swallowed its prey (appeared to be a large
vole) whole on the spot.

Susannah gets her fifth Great Gray Owl of the day!

As
the light begins to fade, this Great Gray Owl overlooking his/her 'patch'
provides a fine and fitting end to the day,
a day which included
six individual owls in just one small area of parkland. Absolutely amazing...........
