| | Ruff Philomachus pugnax, adult. ABA code (3). | This non-breeding adult Ruff
was found by Grahame Walshe near Red Hill Marina. It was the second
time that we’ve found this species on a Birdfinders tour, the first
being one near Moss Landing in September 2001. The bright orange legs
of this adult are hard to miss but we all scanned passed this bird,
apart from Grahame. Nice find indeed!
