One of three species of Sulidae
seen on our first and only trip to the Dry Tortugas. The evening before
these images were taken we counted about 65 Masked Boobies coming into
roost on Hospital Key, along with 17 Brown Boobies roosting on a
floating marker between Garden Key and Hospital Key. This first rate
trip was greatly enhanced by camping overnight on Garden Key.
The images were taken using a Canon Powershot A-95 through Leica 10x42 binoculars.
