Greater White-fronted Goose Anser albifrons.(2) Adult shown here.
Nick Bonomo kindly informed us about the geese feeding at this location. The flock included two Greater White-fronted Geese and a Richardson's Cackling Goose. The White-fronts appeared to show at least some characteristics of the Greenland form A. a. flavirostris but after doing a little background reading, it would appear that the identification of the different forms isn't always straight forward. I'll update the page when I find out a little more. More to follow.

The size differences between the Canada Geese in this shot are worth noting, especially the difference
between the large bird behind the White-front, and the smaller darker bird to the lower right of the image.
