Mew Gull Larus (canus) - form uncertain. (Adult winter).
Dan Finizia captured these excellent shots of the unidentified 'Mew' Gull at rest with Ring-billed Gulls.
Images appear courtesy of Dan Finizia.

'Mew' Gull - the darker mantled bird in the center of the image. In this shot the bird appears to be of similar
size to the surrounding Ring-billed Gulls, perhaps even a fraction larger, an impression that several of us
have observed in the field.

'Mew' Gull - in the center of the image. Here the mantle color isn't particularly evident, but note the 'stout' yellowish bill.

Cropped and enlarged head and bill detail from the preceding shot.
